NetPassage 18A is a feature-rich and highly versatile dual band wireless Internet gateway with integrated 4-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet switch. It supports IEEE802.11a and IEEE802.11b/g connections concurrently, providing a wide variety of connectivity options that are ideal for hotspot or any public access deployment. Alternatively, it can also be used purely as a router in a wired network environment. NetPassage 18A supports industry leading security standards including WPA, 802.1x authentication, 64/128/152-bit WEP encryption, and Compex exclusive Pseudo VLAN to secure your wireless data traffic. WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is the latest wireless security standard to provide strong data protection through encryption and strong access control through mutual authentication.
Cost Savings
NetPassage 18A contains two access points that are compatible with the 802.11b/g and 802.11a standards. Users can protect their investments by using their existing 802.11b networks or migrate to the new speedy 54Mbps wireless network (802.11a/g) when the need arises.

Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) provides strong encryption and authentication. WPA ensures secure data encryption with per user or per session dynamic session keys. NetPassage 18A also supports the simple 64-bit or 128-bit or 152-bit WEP key.

Enhanced features like DHCP server, NAT and SPI firewall to protect against Internet intruders, time-based access management to filter internal users’ to access the internet are found in the NetPassage 18A.
