Compex WP54 je Router Board AP zaloľené na procesoru Infineon ADM5120 s operační frekvencí 175MHz. Obsahuje 16MB SDRAM a 4MB Flash paměti, WP54 obsahuje jeden Type III Mini PCI Slot , který je moľno osadit libovolnou miniPCI kartou COMPEX řady WLM54 pro nasazení v libovolné bezdrátové aplikaci. WP54 je navrľen pro profesionální WISP aplikace. Integrovaný Power over Ethernet (PoE) kompatibilní s Compex PoE a dle standardu 802.3af umoľňuje aby WP54 bylo nasazeno v odlehlých lokalitách kde není dostupná elektrická zásuvka.

WP54, besides using Compex Firmware, another alternative involves using Open-WRT. Open-WRT Firmware is available in source code. With Open-WRT, Linux hobbyists or professional developers are able to develop or customize more functionality on WP54.

In partnership with Antcor. SA., WP54 is able to run IkarusOS and IkarusOS manager as well, thus stretching the flexibility of this product.

IkarusOS is a network services operating system which turns an embedded based system into a dedicated (WI-FI) router. IkarusOS enabled deployments are easily configured provisioned and monitored through IkarusOS Manager which is a software application that provides real-time visibility and control of all IkarusOS based systems of the network. The complete administration and configuration of IkarusOS systems is done through IkarusOS Manager executed from any platform that supports Java.
