Differences between ATH9K and Compex Wireless Drivers

Compex has continuously improved the wireless drivers. The wireless drivers are obtained from Atheros, and Compex has done many improvements to the drivers. We have spent much effort in R&D and testing, to provide customers with OpenWRT a quick time to market with our applications.
We do fully respect the Open Source Movement as well and have no intention of diminishing their importance in this article. 1. 5/10/20/40MHz Selection Ath9K can only use 20/40MHz. Compex firmware can select 5/10/20/40MHz. 5MHz in 11n can achieve about the same throughput as legacy cards. This can help to reduce a lot of interference.

3. Dynamic Slottime/ ACK Timeout/ CTS Timeout Compex’s 802.11n wireless driver is able to dynamically select the optimum ACK Timeout according to changes in the outdoor environment.

4. Stability Stable Throughput in Outdoor environment. Compex has tested throughput of up to 95Mbps in a 3.2KM link. Customers has tested up to the same throughput in a 5KM link.

5. SuperChannel Compex Firmware supports the extended frequencies 2.4GHz (802.11g Band): 2.312 GHz to 2.502GHz 5GHz (802.11a Band): 4.92GHz to 6.1GHz.
